Tips to maintain your acacia wood cutting boards. Wash it with warm, soapy water after each use, dry it thoroughly, and occasionally oil it with food-grade mineral oil to prevent drying and cracking. Avoid soaking the board in water or using harsh chemicals, and store it in a dry place. Before the first use, and periodically thereafter, season your cutting board with food-grade mineral oil. Apply the oil generously, ensuring all surfaces are covered. Allow the oil to soak in for several hours or even overnight. Wipe off any excess oil with a clean cloth. The frequency of oiling depends on how often you use the board, but generally, once a month is a good starting point.
